I need help with someone who speaks English

I transferred my service on my Telekom modem I have confirmation of payment but I still have no service, I've called several times and the numbers just keep hanging up. My service was working prior to today but the service belonged to the previous person who lived in this house. I connected my telekom modem to his service but now I have transferred the service to my account. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to be patient or is there a step I'm missing?
