Connection to employer's VPN server

I'm using Wi-Fi network in rented apartment and trying to connect to employer's sesrver with VPN from my laptop. But I get connection error. I'm sure that VPN connection settings on my laptop are correct because I can connect to the server from another location probably there is another internet provider. It's possible that the server is blocked by Telekom or maybe something else. What can I do to fix the issue with connection?

@UlrichZ @Anna J. @Sören G. Thanks everyone for participation. Fixed by changing some settings in the router by householder.
