Telekom employee visit
Hello. I live in Berlin, today 2 employees apparently from Telekom knocked on my door, asking if I wanted to register my contract for optic fiber just. I said that I did not receive announcement of their visit and I was suspicious about them, but they insisted in talking and after some conversation, one of the two guys asked for my birth date and contract number, but when I realised they were filling in data on an electronic form on their tablet, I did not give them any more details and told them to leave, I was very worried. They told me I would get a letter about registration in 2 weeks. I am afraid I have been scammed or singed up for some additional contract: what should I do to protect myself? Should I cancel my Telekom contract immediately to avoid problems? Any advice is appreciated.

@sassarillu
I think you were visited by "Rangers", more information hereunder:
"Who are the Rangers and what do they do?
Ranger Marketing und Vertriebs GmbH is one of the largest sales organisations for telecommunications products in Germany and has been a partner of Telekom since 2003.
On behalf of Telekom, the Rangers are on the road and offer landline and mobile phone products as well as advice.
Products from energy companies are also offered.
How can I recognise sales staff authorised by Telekom?
They always have an ID card with them that identifies them as authorised by us:
The ID card shows their first and last name, a photo, the validity period of the ID card and a sales employee number (or the name of the company in the case of external companies).
The QR code on the ID card can be used to check its authenticity: After scanning, you are redirected to a Telekom website where you can find the photo of the employee.
In addition, they have a letter of authorisation from Telekom with them:
Alternatively, you can call the free hotline 0800 8266347 to find out if you have an authorisation from Deutsche Telekom.
What are the quality and conduct standards?
Respect for privacy (no business at any price!).
The behaviour when making contact. If requested, a sales conversation that has been started will be terminated.
Questions are answered truthfully and completely.
Where can I get in touch if I do not wish to receive door-to-door sales from Telekom?
On the free authorisation hotline 0800 8266347 you can also request that you no longer receive direct marketing offers in the future."

If you receive an order confirmation, you must cancel within 14 dayers after receipt.

Hi @sassarillu,
unfortunately I could not reach you just now. I will gladly assist you. I can monitor your customer account over the next week and cancel all orders made.
For that, I must verify you as the owner of the contract via a short call. During this call, I am going to ask for your customer number and the last six digits of your IBAN.
If you would like me to help, let me know when you are available for a short call.
