SMS Delivery Failed

I have activated my Sim Card on 11th May 2021.  Inbound/Outbound Calls are working fine. However, SMS service is not working. I send a message to my friends in Germany on Telekom or other German networks. I got the error as shown in picture below.

I have already performed below steps:

  • Send SMS by adding *T# before the message - No luck
  • Dial *222# - Getting Request Failed pop up
  • Verified the Message Settings - It's configured as per recommendation

My Phone details are:

  • Samsung S10+
  • Android 11
  • Software Updates - Up-To-Date

      Hello @pervaiz.bilal

      Are you texting friends who are also using telekom? With your MagentaMobil Prepaid M you are using an SMS flat rate to others who are also using telekom. If you are trying to send an SMS to a person who is using another provider the SMS would cost 0,09€ (Price 15 May 2021). You have also a flat rate to call your friends who are using telekom and 200 Minutes to call people who are using another provider.

      Hi @Karsten L.  - I am texting friends who are using other than Telekom.  I am not worried about the cost. However the problem I am facing is that SMS are not being sent at all irrespective of the provider since the activation day.

      And that's the reason the SMS won't be delivered. You need credit on your Prepaid card to send SMS to people who are using another provider. You had 10,00€ credit at the beginning. 9.95€ got used to activate the MagentaMobil M Prepaid Option. Just 0,05€ left, and you need 0,09 to send an SMS to a friend who is using another provider.

      You can top up your credit online.:)
