Switching from contract to prepaid

Hi,
I have a mobile phone contract with ESIM that expires on January 3rd, 2025 - I have given my three months notice. I would like to keep an ESIM and my mobile number and switch to the annual pre-paid 8GB subscription and not the contract on this date. What is the best way to go about doing that? Just ordering the pre-paid subscription and activating on the date of expiry of my contract?
I wasn't sure best way to find English language only support on this.

There is no longer a dedicated English language support hotline.
Call 2202, ask for an English speaking operator and tell them what you would like to do. If they cannot help, we can try and involve the @Telekom_hilft team here.
