E-Mail - Passwort ändern schlägt fehl

Ich möchte mein erstelltes E-Mail-PW ändern, da die Einrichtung mit Outlook für ein IMAP-Konto aufgrund irgendwelcher Umstände nicht funktioniert:
Gerade auch mit dem Konto meiner Frau probiert, wo es anstandslos geklappt hat.
Welche Lösung gibt's für dieses Problem, ist sowas bereits mal bei jemandem vorgekommen?

Soooo,
ich wollte lediglich mein jahrelang benutztes PW etwas modifizieren.
Das schlug aus dem Grund fehl, da es in Folge neuerer Richtlinien zu viel Ähnlichkeit mit meiner Adresse hatte.
Mittlerweile habe ich mich durch Lesen etwas weitergebildet und somit alles erfolgreich zum Abschluß gebracht.
Vielen Dank nochmal trotzdem an @jojo1 für die anderen Hinweise.
