New = pre-owned customer return. Wrong Telekom policy.

Hello Telekom Team,

I have bought from the one of eBay seller a few Magenta devices. The price was TOP, fast shipping and good service.

Unfortunatelly devices are not new - they are customer returns. One of device has a TELEKOM ARVATO return label with all data (name, surname and full address) of first owner! Inside the box I have also found ORIGINAL invoice from Telekom - invice with all info about first owner.

I have spoken with the seller and he told me, that he is official Telekom reseller. No way - I did not find any info about that.

Do you have any security team? What about GDPR (Datenschutz-Grundverordnung)?
It's looks like a big SCAM ... (stolen devices or something)
Could you verify the seller?

I can send link to the ebay shop and photo of return label and invoice from the first owner in private message.

Thanks

      Oh, thats a big mess.

Unfortanally some of the papers in the box can be forgotten from the first user of the device.

For example papers, that are normally send to a user at the beginning. This should he by himself put out of the box befor sending back.

But there can be papers in a box, he should put in to send back: the Retoureschein. And this should not go to people outside Telekom oder Partner of Telekom. The label on the box with an adress of the forward user should not go to third persons.

This is really something for the Datenschutzbeauftragten.

You can send him a mail to this adress:

      datenschutz@telekom.de

      This is the Datenschutzbeauftragte:

Datenschutzbeauftragte der Deutschen Telekom AG, Herrn Dr. Claus D. Ulmer, Friedrich-Ebert-Allee 140, 53113 Bonn, datenschutz@telekom.de.

      Quelle: https://www.telekom.de/datenschutz-ganz-einfach

Thank you for saving the interests of the first user. Herz

Further of contacting the Telekom Protection Dept. you also may get informations from the Bundesnetzagentur.

Should it turn out to be a criminal act I would suggest you to report this evidence to the police respectively to the local attorney, unless somebody else does.

      Sincerely Yours,

      Marlise
