Magenta Zuhause XL contract

I have a Magenta ZuHause XL contract for which there is a minimum contract period of 24 months. It's only been 11 months and I need to move out of the house into a temporary apartment for a few months and there is already a Vodafone WiFi under the owners name which cannot be changed.How can I cancel my existing Telekom contract? I know there is an option where it can be cancelled by giving suitable reason.But in my case can I cancel the contract without any fine/termination fee?

      Hi @Dipin 

      You can request to move to the new address. Please refer: https://www.telekom.de/hilfe/umzug?samChecked=true 

      And if your connection cannot be taken over exactly, you have a special right of termination of one month.

      So I talked to one of Telekom customer care employee and explained my situation.So I have completed only 11 months out of the 24 months period and in my case since since the apartment where iam moving to is on temporary basis and there the owner already has a Vodafone connection and my internet fee is included in the rent and that means I cannot carry the Telekom contract with me and I would have to pay for the remaining months upfront even if iam not using the internet.l and that there is no other way out.

      Also special right of termination is only values when iam moving to a new place and Telekom cannot offer the same tariff as the new place , but that's not the case with me.I checked and Telekom can offer the same tariff there.Only problem is that there is already an internet connection there under someone else's name and for which I need to pay anyways.

      Then you unfortunately don't have a special right of termination and the employee gave the right answer.
      How long can you not use the apartment?
      If it's only a few months, I would rather let the contract continue.
      But you can have the connection blocked for a period of time you want.

      Okay thank you for confirming the same.So I won't be back to the old apartment.And haven't decided yet where I will be moving from the temporary accommodation. But you are right , it's a good idea maybe to let the contract continue considering I need to pay anyways as it doesn't make any difference .But I didn't know about blocking the contract.Could you please provide the link for the same?But blocking the contract would then extend the contract period also right?

      Blocking the contract does not extend the contract.
      But if you have a new address, you can have the contract transferred.
