Packet loss every online game
Hello,
Sorry, but my German is not good, thus I write in English.
I have fiber optic plan.
I have constant packet loss issues with every online game I play. I get anywhere from 2 to 30% packet loss, really varies a lot. Now these issues come and go usually, but this past month is unbearable. It is constant packet loss in every online game, no Matter what server the game is located, no Matter where it is routed through. I usually play FPS games and its unplayable because of that. I am aware of Telekom and some game server issues, but I am afraid its something different - since I get packet loss in every game.
Sometimes I also have low packet loss, but have very bad stuttering issues and I would guess its due to short term ping spikes..
Magenta app cannot find any issues with the internet. I must also say that I use WIFI 6 connectivity, but I got same result with Lan cable.
I really never have good experience with my internet even though I put almost 100euro every month, so would be nice to get some help.
I would try to call technical support, but I couldn't find any English support contact, so maybe some English customer support will see this and help me.. Thank you!
Cheers!

@cold5tar Please read this.

Now you would first have to disclose where the packet losses occur. If they are lost in the Telekom network or in some way outside the Telekom network towards the game server.
The problem is so old and gamers keep blaming it on Telekom. By the way, the problems also exist with other network operators.

I know about the issue with telekom and game servers, that they refuse to buy telekoms expensive service, I know all about it. I believe this is not an issue since I have this issue for every online game.
What makes you think it's a Telekom problem? Because that's not it! And how do you know that the services (peering) at Telekom are expensive? Do you know the prices for Peering ?
so you gonna tell me every game company just refuses to buy telekom routing for them? Every single one?
Yes! It's a fact.
I come from way poorer european country and internet there costed 10 times less, was much faster and I've never had issues.
And comparing poorer countries is nonsense.
Here's something to read. https://www.telekom.com/de/blog/konzern/artikel/perspektivwechsel-warum-die-telekom-baut-wie-sie-baut-620770

Hi there @cold5tar,
I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing. As @HappyGilmore mentioned, peering issues can be complex and aren't limited to a single ISP . While we are in no position to judge control decisions by game publishers, we're here to help with any connection issues we can influence.
For more details on Deutsche Telekom's position, I recommend checking out this link.
Regarding your comparison of prices in different European countries, it's indeed a multifaceted issue tied to factors like GDP, average income, competition within the domestic market, infrastructural development and governmental subsidization (just to name a few factors).
If you're experiencing technical difficulties with your fiber optic connection beyond the peering matter, we're here to assist. Feel free to reach out!
Best regards,
Christian H.

I've never said its only telekoms problem. If the service they provide is more expensive than competition and game studio refuses to buy overpriced service for better quality to customer, id say problem is on the both ends.
But please stop stating nonsense about every game provider refusing to go with telekom, give me data and back up your statements. You sound like you just want to defend some company even I don't care whose fault is it. I pay money to telekom so better they do something about it.
Before telekom comes to my place to test my internet and conclude that its not their faulty modem or internet line - I don't want to hear anything else. Honestly why everyone triest to make everything complicated for the customer.

That's just the Internet, only Best Effort, no Quality of Service.

Fun Fact: Telekom only sells you access to the Internet, not Internet services.
