Hybrid connection 5G Antenna keeps experiencing power issues & flashing orange light on the router.

Hi there Telekom,

 

For the past week or so, maybe week and a half - I've noticed my connection speed dropping to 90 as opposed to the usual 250/300 or so I get when the 5G antenna is on. I believe the power adaptor or cable for the 5G antenna may be damaged somewhere since it keeps shutting off randomly throughout the day.

 

A simple "plug and restart" will resolve the issue for about 2 - 3 hours before the orange light begins once again flashing on the router with a message stating that it cannot connect to the 5G antenna.

 

I have tried numerous restarts to resolve this issue but, no dice. At the moment, I'm unplugging and re-plugging daily between 2 - 5 times throughout the day and it's becoming a little tedious.

 

Any advice is greatly welcomed,

    Hi there Inga! Spot on! Since installing, the new router has had no dropouts on the 5G antenna. As a result, I don't think I'll install the new one since it isn't needed - I am getting very good speeds & connection now. I will return the old router and new 5G antenna next week as soon as I'm on Monday at work. Thank you again for your help! Sincerely, Phil
