Poor reception and slow LTE connection at home

Hello!
I have recently switched my mobile contract from another provider to Telekom. As soon as my number got activated a few days ago, I noticed that the reception at my home is really poor. Most of the time I get only one bar, or at most two bars. In one of the rooms I barely get any signal and the reception turns into "E" sometimes.
The LTE / 4G internet speed as well is terribly slow at home. On average I get between 1-3 Mbit/s for download and below 1 Mbit/s for upload! Very disappointing to be honest.
I have done the following things so far to ensure that the problem is not anything else:
- Tested with 2 other mobile devices and all of them had the same problem
- My wife who still uses the old provider can get a very good reception and more than 150 Mbit/s internet speed
- I tested in different rooms (including the balcony) and right outside of our apartment and I got the same result
I am living in a central location in the city and according to the Telekom map, I should get very good reception and internet speed in my address. I would really appreciate it if I could get some help to hopefully improve the situation at my home, otherwise I'm paying the next 24 months for a service that can be barely use at home
