Wlan port is unplugged

Hi All,

I am trying to replace my speed port router for the telekom and replace it with another TP link router but somehow the settings show me wlan unplugged, even though the Wlan wire is plugged-in.

I am using the following tp-link router: https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/tl-wr841n/

Can someone help me with the experience of setting up another router? is there a compatibility issue?

Can someone list some other routers that one could use with telekom DSL internet connection?

Thank you!

your TP-Link does not have a (V)DSL Modem. It’s WAN Port needs to be connected to a modem. It does not work connected directly to the plug of your subscriber line.

You may choose a modem or use the existing Speedport as Modem if your Model supports this Operation Mode.

      Hi @fahadbutt06 ,

you have have a DSL-Line? Your TP-Link Router hast no integrated DSL- Modem. So you need an external Modem or another Router Like Speedport or FritzBox.

      Hello   @fahadbutt06

The TP-Link model you linked is a pure WLAN router, without the possibility to establish an Internet connection. If you want to use a product with more features, I can recommend the products from AVM. I myself use a FB 7590.
