Closed contract at Saturn shop, left Germany but SEPA still active

Hello,

 

I had a Magenta contract since 2016 and I left Germany on 22.04.2018. I went to a Saturn shop to close my contract. The person at the saturn shop completed the document (and did a copy of my Abmeldung from the townhall), sent it to the Telekom office and gave me the necessary papers to send back the modem. I sent back the Modem as it was required.

But I realised that money was taken from my german bank account on 05.05 and 05.06 by the Telekom SEPA.

How is it possible? Can you help me?

      does  the contract complies with the terms agreed upon? Did Telekom acknowledge the cancellation?

      Hello Alexandra,

       

      There still seem to be a problem with my Telecom Contract cancellation.

      You confirmed that my contract is cancelled regularly to the 31th of July this year but the SEPA is still active and money was taken from my account for the month of August on 03/08.

      Can you help me with that?

      it is the normal way, that it wil be more bills after the end of a contract. It may be one oder two bills more. In the last bill, there will be the closing bill. If you have payed more than you had to do because of the causes you have used, there will be an asset (deposit = Guthaben) in the last bill: the closing bill. That asset can be payed to you.

      You have to pay at least for three month (due end of the month)  after cancellation  --  §46 TKG

       

      Additionally, you have to sent a registration information about your new place of residence.

      Ist one of the bills of Telekom a "Schlussrechnung" (means: a end-billing?). Normaly it takes one oder two more months time to make the Schlussrechnung. Because the time between the cancelling-Information and the End is too short and because some other Drittanbieter may have time to tell telekom that they have to get money from you for using something in case of the contract.

       

      And I hope you had cancelled the contract so soon (in the Kündigungsfrist) that the contract will realy be nearly cancelled. Normally you get a Kündigungsbestätigung from Telekom. And in the Kündigungsbestätigung there should be the date the Cancelling-Time will work.

      @Michel Lefevre I just checked your account. Your contract is cancelled regularly to the 31th of July this year. The date was also stated on the confirmation of termination that you received on the 19th of April 2018
