Connection to employer's VPN server

I'm using Wi-Fi network in rented apartment and trying to connect to employer's sesrver with VPN from my laptop. But I get connection error. I'm sure that VPN connection settings on my laptop are correct because I can connect to the server from another location probably there is another internet provider. It's possible that the server is blocked by Telekom or maybe something else. What can I do to fix the issue with connection?

@medyakovvit: Welcome to the Community! What kind of WiFi network do you use? Is it your own or is a hotspot?

      Best regards

Hello @UlrichZ. Thank you for response. No it is not my own network. It's my householder's network, I just renting apartments. I interesting what could be the problem - some filter in Telekom or some settings in router.

Hello @medyakovvit: What kind of router does your renter use? A Speedport or a FRITZ!Box or a professional solution? What is the name ( SSID ) of the WiFi network? Telekom or Telekom_FON or is it a private guest network of your renter? What kind of connection, tariff, is it? Is it a DSL private connection or a business connection?

      Best regards

      Hi @medyakovvit,

do you still experience the same issues while connecting to the VPN ? If that is the case, please provide additional information regarding your WIFI as the user requested.

      Kind regards
      Sören G.

      Hi @medyakovvit,

I saw that you also wrote to us on Facebook, where I sent you similar questions about the network as @UlrichZ did here.

It's possible, that the VPN -connection won't work with some public networks. The provider of the VPN connection program should have more information about which connections/networks are supported, this differs between some providers.

      Kind regards,
      Anna Si.

@UlrichZ @Anna J. @Sören G. Thanks everyone for participation. Fixed by changing some settings in the router by householder.
