Internet contract changed

Hi,
On November 14, 2024 a sales representative came to my house and told me that Telekom Deutschland will be upgrading the internet lines in my area to fibre-optic and I must switch over to them. They even offered me a 150 Mbps fibre optic plan for a price similar to my existing plan from another Internet service provider (a few euros more actually). The next day I received an email stating that Telekom have received my order for Glasfaser 150 with monthly tariff details and router credits worth 70EUR.
However, on January 18 2025, I received an email from Telekom stating that my order was scheduled for installation but the details in the email and order stated that it was for a DSL connection (MagentaZuhause L VDSL 100) which only offer 100 Mbps speeds. Also, the new contract had no router credits and stated that I had to purchase my own router compatible with Telekom. These routers cost around 50-70EUR on an average.
My question is why has Telekom Deutschland resorted to such tactics to gain Customers, i.e. selling them one product by misguiding them about new connection lines being laid, and then later changing to a lower quality of service. I understand that I cannot legally terminate this contract since i have "signed" it. This is a terrible experience with Telekom, moreso because I am already a Customer of Telekom mobile and use their services.
