Mesh brauche ich neuen Router?

Ich wohne in einem Einfamilienhaus mit dicken Stahlbeton-Decken. Unser WLAN funktioniert im Großen und Ganzen gut, schwankt aber in manchen Räumen. Ich denke das neue "Mesh-System" wäre das eine gute Investition. Ich habe folgende Telekom-Daten: Magenta Zuhause L mit TV Plus, Router "Speedport Smart 2". Wenn ich "Mesh" kaufen möchte, brauche ich dann einen neuen Router "Smart 3" oder funktioniert der Smart 2 genau so gut? Den Router habe ich gemietet.

    Das hängt von der Bauweise  des Gebäudes ab. Das kannst du am besten selbst beurteilen, wenn du für dein Handy Fritz WLAN installierst und Nachsiehst, was du in welchen Raum messen kannst. aber bei Stahlbetondecke können das mehrere werden. Vor allem das schnelle 5G WLAN kommt da nur begrenzt durch.

Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator


We, Telekom Deutschland GmbH, use the Utiq technology for digital marketing or analytics (as described on this consent notice) based on your browsing activity across our websites, listed here (only if you are using a supported internet connection provided by a participating telecom operator and consent on each website).
