Personal Router with Telekom Glasfaser Modem
10 months ago
Normally my fiber optic modem is connected to the Speedport Smart 3 router, which works well, but the range is not sufficient for my house with several walls.
I bought a tp link xe75 wifi 6e mesh router to connect to my fiber optic modem, but when I connected to the fiber optic modem, it asks me the connection type and the default DNS doesn't work, I don't know what to enter PPPoE or VLan?
Please help.

Thank you! It finally worked but not before giving me hell due to this TP-Link device.
Solution:
In order to establish fiber modem internet through TP-Link Deco XE75, you have to use the deco app from phone/tablet, forget the browser.
In the app choose connection type PPPoE, do not enter any details at all. You will not connect internet at this point, only connected to router's own wifi
In the app, go to "more" at bottom right, choose "advanced", choose IPTV /VLAN, turn on Internet VLAN
Internet VLAN ID: 7
Internet VLAN Priority:1
After saving, couple of seconds later connection becomes established.
What gave me hard time was finding this VLAN settings as I was searching it under PPPoE, also somehow i could not access the web interface through a browser through the links /IP TP-Link provides with wifi or lan.
Anyhow, i'm glad i didn't return the device.

If your new tp-link replaces the Smart 3 then you need to use PPPoE (and in the frame of that you need to do the VLAN 7 settings as pointed out by @Buster01 )
Clear: Smart 3 telefony cannot be used in such setup
