Hi,
I ordered a fibre optics internet connection for my apartment on 2024 november. The minimum term for this contract is 2 years which is supposed to end on 2026 november. I moved to another apartment in october 2025 in the same building and requested for a move in of my fibre optics connection and the move have been done successfully. Recently, I was checking the contract term due to a potential move in the future to a apartment with a wifi connection, I realised that my contract is automatically extended to 2027 as the minimum contract period. I was not informed about any contract extension and I only requested for a move of my existing contract to a new apartment. Could someone kindly assist me in this regard, it would be really grateful. I already contacted telekom through a contact form two months ago, but I didn't receive any response yet.

In that case, they didn't process a relocation under the TKG at the time.
The contract is extended by two years; that is what was stated in the order confirmation.

Hi,
Thanks for the message. In the document that I received and in the mail, it is clearly written that the order is a part of relocation/umzug. I realised that there is a contract extension very recently from the documents. In this case, Do I have any option to cancel it ? Could you please let me know how to proceed if possible.

Unfortunately, it appears that the move was not processed in accordance with the Telecommunications Act ( TKG ), resulting in a new contract term for you.
If I understand correctly, you are planning to move again, and the new apartment already has an existing connection. If that is the case, you may be entitled to a special right of termination for your connection. If you complete your profile and then let me know here, I would be happy to check this for you.

I've checked your new address we are not able to move your contract. Following that I cancelled the contract and it ends on the 27th September 2026.
