Router needs replacing

Hello,

Sorry to put this this in English!

Last week the Telekom router in our apartment stopped working, a technician informed us that it would need to be replaced. This should be the landlord's responsibility but they've done nothing so far. Everyone in the apartment is a student so we all need a reliable connection.

I'm having trouble working out exactly how to order a new router? My German isn't good so I've had some difficulties getting relevant information.

Though I have all the details for the router as they appear on the box, I don't know the customer number or anything to do with the account.

I'm in a rough situation, if anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it.

@LanA3 der Vermieter hat nichts mit dem Router zu tun, meinte der Techniker die Endleitung ?

Router kannst du kaufen oder mieten.

So it is the landlord who has the contract with Telekom? Normally the tenant only pay the rent for the apartment. For internet and telephone you have your own contract with a provider.

@LanA3 the contract owner needs to contact us. It is unusual for the landlord to be the contracted party and not the tenants.

If one of your flatmates is the contracted party we need to verify them via short call using the customer number and the last six digits of the IBAN.
