Telephone with glasfaser Modem2 and my own router.

HI,
I have a glasfaser modem 2 and am using my own mesh router to login via PPPOE.

I would like to connect my existing phone to be able to use my assigned landling numbers. Is there a way to do that?
Or do I have to buy a new Voip phone?
Any restrictions or compatibility issues there?

The router is not a Fritz box.

Can someone please help and advise?
