Gültige Gmx-Adresse wird nicht erkannt

Hallo, ich habe ein Problem mit einer Email an eine gültige gmx-Adresse, sie lautet: xxxx.xx.xxxx@gmx.de

Die Adresse wird als ungültige Adresse "rot" markiert. Die exakt gleiche Adresse kann ich dagegen ohne Probleme bei einem anderen Anbieter eingeben. Woran liegt das?
