Öffnen von eml-Dateien

beim speichern von eMails auf dem PC als eml können diese nicht mehr geöffnet werden (alte Dateien ja, neu gespeicherte nicht). Woran liegt das und wie kann ich die Mails mit Anhängen lesbar abspeichern?

      ... erklärt zwar nicht, warum es  mit anderem Programm mal funktioniert und mal nicht, aber Danke.
