Change to fiber

Hello everyone,
I was wondering about the following:
I don't have a contract with Telekom right now, and I'm moving to a new apartment. I have the option to get DSL, but I know the building will have fiber, some time in the near future. I was wondering, if I make a contract for DSL now, how easy would it be to be upgraded to fiber optics? Would I have to wait until I need to renew my contract? Would I have to upgrade my plan?

You can easily upgrade to fiber after it has been installed in the house.

If DSL and fiber in your new place will both be provided by Telekom there's no issue at all. Just upgrade at any convenient time once fiber becomes available.
If DSL and fiber will be provided by different ISPs, note that the DSL contract's minimum term (aka "Mindestvertragslaufzeit") of typically 24 month may inhibit changing to fiber for some time.

You have already received the answer here 🙏🏽 You can then switch to fiber optics without any problems 👍🏽 We can also provide you with a DSL transition tariff until the expansion is complete.
Unfortunately, we are currently having maintenance work. I'll get back to you later as soon as the system is ready for booking again 😊

I also wrote to you 🙌🏽🙂 As soon as the DSL is active at the beginning of December, I'll contact you again and set up the switch to fiber optics. Then the expansion will take place first. As soon as the expansion is complete, you'll receive a setup link to activate the fiber optic tariff 👍🏽

The DSL connection will be switched on Monday 🙂 I'll get in touch on Monday or Tuesday as soon as we have the contract in place so that we can set up the switch to fiber optics 😊

Wir brauchen als Kontaktinformation von der Hausverwaltung folgendes:
- Den Namen eines Ansprechpartners bei der Hausverwaltung
- Den Namen der Hausverwaltung
- Die Adresse der Hausverwaltung
- Eine Telefonnummer und eine gültige E-Mail Adresse
Der Ausbau ist natürlich bei Tarifbestellung komplett kostenlos für den Eigentümer.

Unfortunately they don't provide email addresses anymore.

Hat Vonovia, nicht den Ausbau flächendeckend untersagt?
Ich streite mich schon seit Monaten mit dem Vermieter, die Telekom endlich an meiner Adresse ausbauen zu lassen.
Leider muss ich dass ganze mit ADSL überbrücken, mit der Hoffnung das die Fritz Box 5690 Pro, endlich mit Glasfaser versorgt werden kann.
