My contract expires on 01.06.2025 and I have opted to move to Glasfaser contract but there is no connection yet

Hello everyone,
As the title says, my current MagentaZuhauseXL contract expires on 01.06.2025.
I have been contacted by Telekom and was offered a Glasfaser upgrade in October/November last year. I asked about when will the Glasfaser connection be available, and the gentleman said that it should be available beginning of 2025 (around April).
Now I am looking at the Glasfaser portal, and it says that the connection would be available in December 2026, and could be delayed until April 2027.
What happens now? Will I be on an "interim" contract until the Glasfaser contract can be executed? Can I cancel the old contract and wait for the Glasfaser installation, or would that cancel the free fiber installation too?
I want to stay with Telekom, but to pay the current monthly fee for the same DSL connection and speed, and not benefit from a cheaper new contract elsewhere, is problematic.

Would it be a problem if I go for termination, even though the "Spätester Kündigungseingang" is 1. Mai 2025?

The latest cancellation date is simply the end of your contract term. If you submit a cancellation, it will take effect on that date.

Have you actively cancelled it ("Kündigung")? Otherwise it will change to a different contract status where there is no more minimum duration, can be terminated within one month.

Thanks, that was my question. I did not cancel it, but there was a "latest date of cancellation" date of May 1st.
