Smart 4 + 5G empfänger not active: new SIM not activated?

Dear support,

Yesterday I received my new Speedport Smart 4 + 5G empfänger (from a Speedport Pro Plus with LTE hybrid).

However the 5G / LTE connection is not active, only DSL is working.

Capture d'écran 2023-10-15 121403.png

I tried several things without any success:

- Smart 4 + 5G Empfänger with old LTE contract SIM card > 5G / LTE not active only DSL working

- Smart 4 + 5G Empfänger with new received 5G SIM card > 5G / LTE not active only DSL working

- "Old" Speedport Pro Plus Hybrid with old SIM card > DSL + Hybrid working

- "Old" Speedport Pro Plus Hybrid with new received 5G SIM card > Hybrid not working only DSL

- several reboot of empfänger and smart 4..

I conclude that I should have the new 5G SIM card defect or to be activated?

I suppose that only the new SIM card received is recognized by the empfänger.

Thank you !

Jordan

      Hey @Jordan5G ,

depending on the installed firmware this behavior might be normal. Try triggering a larger download (latest received SIM) and monitor the status, 5G connection might come up then.

      Have a good one!

Which LEDs on the 5G -Empfänger (receiver) light up after you have switched it on again?

Thanks for your quick answers !

The "Status" LED is blinking in orange non-stop.

I tried to download a very large file but it does not make any difference.

@Jordan5G: OK, your SIM card may not yet be activated for the new tariff. In addition, the 5G receiver does not yet have the latest firmware. This will be updated automatically within a few hours after the 5G receiver has been successfully connected.

When was the changeover to the new tariff supposed to take place?

Perfect, this is the right sim card. Fröhlich You already had it in our 5G antenna and it didn't work either. 😕 I think it makes sense if you talk to one of my team members, because my english is not good enough for that anymore. Zwinkernd
