Speedport Smart 4 router getting stuck in restart loop

Hello,

I recently selected Telekom as my Fiber Optic internet provider. Since most of the support team members do not speak English, I have decided to share my issue here.

I rented a Speedport Smart 4 router just a few days ago. However, after resolving a previous problem with my fiber optic Modem 2 (now it has a fixed green light), the router has stopped working. Prior to this issue, I was able to access the router (though without internet), but now it appears to be stuck in a restart loop.

The router displays the Telekom logo (a capital T with 4 dots) and the green light blinks approximately 40 times before seemingly attempting another restart.

I have attempted the solutions mentioned in this article, but they have not worked for me.

Can anyone here assist me with resolving this issue?

    Just want to add this point that the router without any connection to modem (I mean just router itself) also has the same status.

    The router has a little reset button on its back. Press this for 5 to 10 seconds and see if this helps.

    As I mentioned in the post, using reset button didn't resolve my problem

    According to my system, there is currently an active internet session.

     

    Can you confirm that problem was solved?
