Unable to connect Speed Home Wifi Gen 2 to Speed port to create a mesh network

Hello, I recently bought speedport 4r with speed home wifi gen 2 mesh repeater.
After setting up the router when i try to connect the speedhome wifi to the touer the connection is not possible.
Steps i Did:
- Speedport is powered and connected to internet, speedhome wifi is powered
- After router is setup and connected to internet, i press the "+" button on the router and the router starts searching for new devices to connect.(visible on the display that it is searching)
- After powering the speedhome wifi, "+" was pulsing with green light. Then i press the "+" on the speed home wifi quickly(less than 10 secs between pressing it on router and the mesh repeater)
- then after few seconds the router shows a Tick mark saying it found a device and exits search mode, at the same time the "+" stops pusling on the speedhome wifi.
- then the green led on the speedhome wifi blinks, but fails to establish a connection and then the led on speedhome goes red with 2 short pulse and one long pulse.
Alternatives i tried:
- I tried connecting speedhome wifi via lan to router and then it works fine.
- i place the speedhome wifi in the same room close to the router not very far.
- i tried manual reset to factory settings of the speed home wifi.
Important Notes:
The firmware on both router and repeater is uptodate.
SO only when connected with lan it works well, but with wifi repeating it doesnt.
Can someone please help me out.

Nomaly you push the + Button at the Router
Then you push the + buton ( only shorts time) at speedhome wifi.
The speedhome wifi must be in wifi range of the Router by paaring the units

Thank you for your reply.
I did the same. SO i pressed the + on router then quickly on speedhome wifi. I get a tick mark on the router indicating it found the device. but then the green light on speedhome never turns solid, it is always blinking and then turns red

Ok then try to make a factory reset on the smarthome wifi and then try to connect once more.
( if you wait to log after Power up the smarthome wifi he will go to base mode)

Hello @yaswanth,
You can connect the devices. However, your Internet is not active yet until the technician appointment. That could be the reason that it is not staying green. 😊
