Delayed activation of number portability SIM card

I released my Vodafone number on June 4th and bought a new Telekom card on the 5th, informing the staff that I needed to transfer the number to Telekom. Today I received a text message instructing me to insert the new Telekom SIM card on the 17th to activate the new plan. However, my previous plan doesn't end until November. Can I activate my card at the end of November? If I don't insert the card into my phone, will the activation not be completed? I signed up for a promotional plan, Prepaid M, the one that gives 13GB + 17GB of data.

As promised, I am now sending you a brief summary:
We will port your number from Vodafone to us on June 17th.
Since this is an early porting, you will receive a new number from Vodafone for the remaining contract period so that you can continue using your Vodafone contract until the end of the term.
Unfortunately, you cannot delay the activation of the Telekom SIM card, as it will automatically activate on June 17th.
A porting at the end of the contract term would not have been possible, as it can only be done at the earliest 123 days before the end of the minimum contract period.
I hope I was able to shed some light on the situation.

Thank you very much for your reply. I finally understand what I need to do, which is to insert the Telekom SIM card on June 17th. The original plan will still work, but a new number will be assigned. I'm sorry, I still have a question I'd like to ask you. I saw a line of explanatory text on the promotion page: "Das Aktionsangebot gilt auch bei Aktivierung nach Ablauf des Aktionszeitraums wegen Rufnummernmitnahme zur Telekom, wenn Neubestellung und das Legitimationsverfahren innerhalb des Aktionszeitraums erfolgt." I'm not sure if this applies to my situation. Looking forward to your reply.

All in all, this means that everything is fine now just the way it is, and you’ll benefit from the 30GB. 😄
Unfortunately, a later request for number porting wouldn’t work anymore, as the required 123 days wouldn’t be met at that point.
However, your current order definitely meets all the criteria to benefit from the promotional period!
