MagentaMobil S Modification/Cancellation

On April 1st 2023 I signed up for home fiber internet + a mobile phone plan. Because I signed up for both services the MagentaMobil S had 20 gig instead of 10. Unfortunately, after 1 month, it turned out that the fiber couldn't be installed in my flat because of technical reasons. As a result, my MagentaMobil S was downgraded back to 10 gig for 38+ EUR.

 

The in-store customer service rep told me that I can make a change after 3 months. I'm not satisfied with the value of this current deal so would it be possible to cancel after the first 3 months seeing that I signed up with the impression that I would have 20 gig at that price?

 

I don't speak German as yet and I already sent an email inquiry but got a response stating when my contract ends.

      Unfortunately that is not possible.
      They got the 20 GB including Magenta 1 advantage.
      However, this is only available if you have a landline and mobile network with Telekom.
      Unfortunately, since you only have mobile communications with Telekom, the Magenta 1 advantage no longer applies.
      Do you have the possibility for a DSL connection?

      Then they would also be entitled to Magenta 1 Advantage and 20GB + 5€ discount for the mobile phone contract.
      Unfortunately, you cannot terminate the contract prematurely.You can cancel after 24 months.

      I'm sorry I don't have better news for you.

      Thanks for your reply even though it's not the kind of news I would have liked to hear.

      I already took landline internet from another company because I needed a connection ASAP for work.

       

      Seems like I'm stuck with this "deal" for the next 24 months then..

      I apologize for the late reply. I took a look at the situation, but unfortunately I can't help at this point either, but I saw that you found another solution in the meantime - very good! What can I do? I can offer you that we will meet again in about 2 years and I will then give you a really great offer for an extension.

      Under certain circumstances, we can actually make you an offer for the Internet then, too. I'm really sorry that you had such a bad experience with us. Please, please always contact me here in the future if you have something on your mind about your contract. I'll really look for a great solution for you - I promise.
