Prepaid SIM card delivery

Dear all,
I would like to ask about how long the delivery of the prepaid SIM card takes. I took the contract on June 25. I will be leaving for vacation this Saturday for a month, and I have not received the SIM card yet. I read that I need to be there to pay for the delivery, or the card will go to a post office and will be returned if I do not pick it up. I cannot track the delivery yet, so I don't know if the SIM will arrive in time. Can you please look up the current status and, if possible, make the delivery as soon as possible so the SIM card arrives on time?
Second question: Today, I received a confirmation from Telekom that my number porting was approved, and that the activation will be on July 15. Will the activation be successful even if I am outside of the EU (I will be in North Africa)?
This is the email:
Am 15.07.2025 schalten wir den Vertrag mit Ihrer jetzigen Rufnummer frei.
- 14 Tage vorher schicken wir Ihnen Ihre neue SIM-Karte oder das eSIM-Profil.
Falls das Aktivierungsdatum weniger als 14 Tage in der Zukunft liegt, versenden wir sofort.

The delivery itself doesn't need a lot of time, the procedure before does.
If you already got the confirmation that the porting will take place on July 15th, an activation in Germany will be needed in order for the SIM to work.
The SIM should arrive this week.

I have just received an email confirming that the SIM card was sent to me and should be here by Wednesday, so that's nice.
Should I then leave the SIM in a phone here in Germany before I leave? Or can I take it with me anyway and it would be automatically activated whenever I am back?

The activation can be done here.
You can leave the SIM in Germany, it won't be of much use in another country.
