Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator
We, Telekom Deutschland GmbH, use the Utiq technology for digital marketing or analytics (as described on this consent notice) based on your browsing activity across our websites, listed here (only if you are using a supported internet connection provided by a participating telecom operator and consent on each website).
The Utiq technology is privacy centric to give you choice and control.
It uses an identifier created by your telecom operator based on your IP address and a telecom reference such as your telecom account (e.g., mobile number).

Ist schon bekannt, wie lange es die Multicast-Variante von Magenta-TV noch geben wird?
Nichts offizielles. Aber Vermuten lässt sich viel. Es wird wohl irgendwann so weit sein. Gerade jetzt mit dem neuen öffentlichen Betatest (6 Monate) für das "neue MagentaTV" wo im Tarif selbst die MR nicht mehr funktionieren, kann man sich 1 und 1 zusammen zählen

Wie kommst du denn darauf? Sämtliche HD+ Restriktionen sind in der OTT basierten App aktiv. Keine Aufnahme mehr, nur in der Cloud. Dann kannst du jeden anderen Anbieter nehmen, die tun sich da nichts mehr.
Das ist für mich dann auch das Aus für die Telekom. O2 kann kann DSL billiger mit Allnet Flat.

Da kannste auch 1u1, Vodafone usw. Nutzen, die das Telekom-Netz dafür verwenden.

Schon klar. Wird aber jetzt glaube ich auch nicht der große Unterschied von der Leistung her sein. Telekom ist auch manchmal langsam oder gestört. Negative Bewertung haben letztlich alle Anbieter, weil User eher meckern als loben. Eigentlich sollte ich schon lange Glasfaser haben, aber der Duisburger Provider bekommt natürlich nichts auf die Kette. Typisch Duisburg halt...

Für die unverschlüsselten Sender braucht man aber nicht zwangsläufig Magenta TV.
Kann man auch direkt von der Quelle streamen. (M3U8)

MagentaTV 2.0 müsste doch theoretisch auch Multicast sein?!
Unicast heißt ja quasi peer-to-peer (bzw one-to-one), also eine Verbindung direkt zwischen zwei Geräten/Computern — und ich bezweifle, dass die Telekom für jeden einzelnen MagentaTV-Kunden einen eigenen Server für die Streams vorhält; Ergo streamt ein Server ja doch wieder zu mehreren Nutzern (one-to-many / Multicast) oder sogar zu allen (one-to-all / Broadcast)

Du hast das Prinzip dahinter nicht verstanden.
Multicast: nur ein Stream verlässt den Server. Wird später erst vervielfältigt
Unicast: Jeder einzelne Kunde erhält einen separaten Stream vom Server bis zum Client
Für z.b. einen HD-Sender:
Multicast: egal wie viel Kunden schauen, nur ein einziger 9mbit/s Stream muss übertragen werden vom Server weg
Unicast: anzahl Kunden mal 9mbit/s müssen vom Server weg übertragen werden -> Engpässe möglich!
