For clients such as Thunderbird, you do not use the Telekom login but the password for email programs. There is no passkey.

Hallo @fridolin2012
You can use Thunderbird as an e-mail client and save the access data there. However, it is important that you create your own password for external e-mail access in the e-mail centre.
Passkey is unfortunately not supported.

Lerni, thanx. I use keepass, so must I return to the normal log in way by password?

@fridolin2012 you can still use the passkey to log into your Telekom account and the E-Mail-Center, but you need to set a special password if you want to use a rd party mail program like thunderbird.
Just click on the link from @Berti15 and use the second option. As soon as you are logged in click on the gear symbol and then Alle Einstellungen anzeigen › Passwörter › Passwort für E-Mail-Programme.
Choose a password and add that to your thunderbird configuration.

With Thunderbird, you have probably never used a passkey for retrieving and sending mail. So you can't go back there at all. 😉

Hallo @fridolin2012

very interesting, you made me aware that there is a KeePassXC extension for Thunderbird. I'll give that a try. I use KeePassXC.
Passkey for mail access will not work, however, as access must be secured with a separate password.
