Broken DSL Line

Hello all and good morning,

I had an appointment for my Telekom DSL connection in my newly rented flat. The technician came to my flat and connected a device to the DSL socket in the apartment. We then went to the cellar where the technician tried to check whether there was a signal and it turned out that there was no signal. The technician told me that the line is broken and that I should tell my landlord to fix the line. I informed the landlord, but he has no idea what the problem might be.

I am wondering if it's possible to check what the problem was if there is a report from the technician, and also what I should do next regarding my DSL contract.

      welcome in our community.

      We recommend contacting your landlord and askingand asking them to arrange an electrician to inspect and repair the internal telephone/DSL line from the APL to your apartment. Once the issue has been resolved, please inform us so we can schedule a new technician appointment to test and activate the line.

      Your DSL service will not be billed until the connection is successfully activated.
