Clarification about DSL connection
vor 2 Monaten
Hello,
I have an internet contract with Telekom starting in February (MagentaZuhause XL, VDSL). However, I am skeptical that my building actually has a DSL connection:
The availability check (“Verfügbarkeitsprüfung”) says DSL is available.
My contract confirmation also says VDSL.
But everyone in the building is using cable internet, and my previous contract at this address was also a cable contract.
I would like a clear confirmation that a VDSL/DSL connection is technically possible in my building, so that my work is not interrupted when the switch happens.
A second issue:
In the Magenta app, the MagentaZuhause XL contract is shown with the status “cancelled”, even though I am receiving written confirmations from Telekom that my contract is valid and an activation date has been scheduled. I also need clarification on this discrepancy.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to find an English-speaking hotline, so I am asking for help here in the forum.
Thank you in advance for your support.

One could try many things, like minding their own f* bushiness for example, and not sounding like an archaic primitive person who is unable to comprehend a world where multiple languages and cultures are going around for the prosperity of everyone.

Hallo @olliMD,

@olliMD you know that we also support our customers in English telling people to use the countries language is at least a little tone-deaf.
@zam123 you can click on your user icon and then "Mein Profil" there you can enter your contact number and save it. Only direct Telekom employees can see that information not the other user.
While I understand your answer to @olliMD post please keep the discourse civil.

We wish for an open and constructive exchange in a friendly and factual tone around all topics from the world of telecommunications. We consider the following explanations as the basis of our cooperation.
An open exchange can contain praise and criticism alike. With both, the more respectful you can, the better we can deal with both. We are also people of flesh and blood. In return, you can expect us to have an equally respectful and solution-oriented approach.
There is generally a loose tone on our pages. Users often doze with each other. In principle, however, the mirrored salutation applies to us. This means that if you sieve us, we will of course also sieve. But we also like to agree on the you.

Thank you for the pleasant call @zam123
The order for Magenta Zuhause XL is correct in the system and will be executed as planned. I've added the information to the technician appointment that you'll need a TAE wall socket.
Your building is supplied with DSL, but I can't tell you if the owner connected the flats as this his responsibility.

Hi @Sören G. ,
Thank you again for the pleasant call.
A short update from my side:
After contacting the landlord I can confirm that there is a phone line copper connection in the flat and actually there is a TAE wall socket installed in the flat also.
So I think it is OK to remove the note about the socket for the technician.

Thank you for your feedback. 🙂
The technician has to come to the house anyway and will check and activate everything on site. 🙌🏽
Have a nice weekend.
Best regards
