Despite Glasfaser is in my building the technician said it will be difficult to take it to the apartment

Hello, 

A few weeks ago, I booked an appointment for the Glasfaser Anschluss in my apartment.

In the building, a couple of other families already have the Glasfaser, so I was confident that it was possible for me as well.

After the technical inspection today, the technician said that the work done on the building was very bad, and therefore, it would be really hard to bring the optical fiber from the anchor point to my apartment.

He asked me why they made such a weird setup, but I have no answer for that, as I've recently bought the apartment and the works were already there.

He said that they will come back to me, but the problem is that I need a working internet connection in my apartment, as I need it for work.

What will happen to my Glasfaser contract now? Will they offer a replacement (e.g., DSL or 5G ) in the meantime of solving the technical issues?
