Fiber not active – technician says basement fiber box is connected to another building

Hello Telekom Team,

I had a fiber installation appointment recently.

The technician installed the fiber outlet (Glasfaser-Dose) in my apartment and completed the splicing.

However, he explained that my connection could not be activated because the fiber in the basement ( GF-AP ) is incorrectly connected or assigned to another building.

He mentioned that this issue has to be fixed first, and a new appointment can only take place afterwards.

I haven’t received any update or timeline for when this basement issue will be resolved or when a new appointment can be scheduled.

Could you please check the status of my installation and let me know when I can expect the connection to be completed?

      Hello, I got invoiced 7Euros for the delivery of Glasfaser Modem and speedport smart 4 but the installation was not completed yesterday and the devices were brought back by the technician that came. Could you please clarify this as well on top of the current status of my fiber connection?

      um den Glasfaser-Ausbau in Ihrer Region abzuschließen, arbeiten wir mit einem neuen regionalen Ausbaupartner zusammen. Aus diesem Grund können wir den ursprünglich mit Ihnen vereinbarten Termin leider nicht wahrnehmen.

      Wir werden baldmöglichst mit einem neuen Terminvorschlag auf Sie zukommen.

      Could you please check when I might expect the new appointment or any update on the basement fiber box issue that the technician mentioned during the installation visit?

      It’s important for me to understand how long this process is likely to take. Unfortunately, I rely heavily on having a stable internet connection to work from home, and this ongoing delay is becoming a serious problem for me.

      Good morning. Any news on this issue? The appointment is scheduled for next week and I don’t have any sort of idea if it’s going to  be fixed before that timeslots.

      i’m seriously considering terminating my subscription with you because of these issues and delays.

      What if you activate a DSL connection for me in the meantime? for example, MagentaZuhause XL?

      I would be willing to pay for this new DSL connection while we get the fiber issue fixed.

      Once the fiber connection is finally up and running, I could then switch to the fiber plan and cancel the DSL one (the DSL connection does not need to have contractual agreements for 24 months tho)

      Is this something that can be arranged? Unfortunately, the hotspot helps only temporarily, but I really need a stable and unlimited connection to work from home.

      If you have any other ideas to help me getting stable and unlimited internet at home, feel free to drop them here :)

      Unfortunately, the building does not have a DSL connection, otherwise we would have offered it to you directly. 🙂 We now have a new MagentaZuhause wireless tariff. This can be canceled on a monthly basis and costs €43.95. There is a one-time setup fee of €69.95, but then there is no setup fee for the fiber optic connection. You would then have unlimited data volume. 

       

      Would that be an alternative for you?
