Fiber Modem with TP Link Router - Internet not working
vor einem Monat
Hi,
I purchased the Telekom Fiber Modem 2 together with router "TP-Link Archer AX55".
After the technician visited the place, I activated the modem by entering the modem ID and I can see green light in the modem. But Internet is still not working. When I called the customer centre they couldn't help either.
Anybody faced such issue and idea on how to resolve it ? I tried connecting directly my computer with LAN cable to my modem and internet is still not working.
Should I buy the Router from Telekom only to activate internet ?

maybe you forgot to configure VLAN 7 on the WAN side of your router.

You do not need to buy or rent a router from Telekom but whatever Router you use, it needs to be able to provide a connection via the PPPoE protocol on VLAN 7.
This, especially the VLAN7 part, is a nightmare to configure on Windows, which is why I'd suggest to go via a router. Connecting a Windows computer to the Internet directly may also not be very secure.
What router model have you got?
