Fiber optics connection in house with full Hausanschluss

vor einem Jahr

Hello!
I'm renting a flat in a house that has fiber optic connection - there's Hausanschluss in the basement. However, there's no cable to my flat.
Since I asked house owner about getting a stable connection, I was told to get a fiber optics contract, and that there's already Telekom optics in the house, and "probably one free socket". However, after I booked a contract, it turned out that there are no free sockets (out of 4, according to what I've been told).
Now I'm not sure how things can proceed from this point, and if I should wait or cancel booking and start searching for alternatives.
Is it possible that not all bandwidth is used, and box with higher amount of ports can be installed?
Will I be offered to cover costs for expanding bandwidth? Or is there some other approach for such situations?
Sorry for using English, but my German is only B1 yet.

    Hello @Brezelntorte,

I'm very sorry that nobody from our team has answered here yet.

I guess that the information about the shortage of ports was concerning DSL and not the fiber optic connection.

If the house is connected with fiber optic, but the apartment is not, then it's the right way to order a new contract. This order ensures that the technical requirements for connecting the apartment are established. For this work an appointment will be made. I guess that has already happened.

Depending the bandwidth, you can get all tariffs up to 1000 MBit/s.

I can call you tomorrow or the following week if you still have questions depending your order.

    Kind regards Inga Kristina J.
