I have a question about double billing.
We applied for internet when I moved into my new apartment and it was activated on the 14.10.2022.
The old tenants of the apartment moved to Ireland and settled their accounts. My issue is why they are still being billed even though they no longer live here and their account contains my address and details.
Could someone kindly contact me and assist me?

unfortunately, I can't discuss with you the details of that contract/bill due to the fact that you are not a party of said contract.
But I can give you some general explanation why something like that can happen. For example, depending on when your contract started and when it ends you will get a bill for the whole January, but your contract ends on the 20th the difference will be settled with a final invoice either transferring money back to you or billing you for the partial last month.
In addition, there are special laws that you can cancel your contract earlier if you move out of Germany, this can also lead to the need of corrections via final invoices due to the short period those contracts can be cancelled.
As I said, those are the more common situations for additional invoices after the end of the contract.
If there is an issue with the cancellation, we will need to solve that with our former customers directly.
