Use of Utiq technology powered by your telecom operator
We, Telekom Deutschland GmbH, use the Utiq technology for digital marketing or analytics (as described on this consent notice) based on your browsing activity across our websites, listed here (only if you are using a supported internet connection provided by a participating telecom operator and consent on each website).
The Utiq technology is privacy centric to give you choice and control.
It uses an identifier created by your telecom operator based on your IP address and a telecom reference such as your telecom account (e.g., mobile number).
The identifier is assigned to the internet connection, so anyone connecting their device and consenting to the Utiq technology will receive the same identifier. Typically:
- on a broadband connection (e.g., Wi-Fi), the marketing or analytics will be performed based on the browsing activities of consenting household members'.
- on mobile data, the marketing will be more personalised, as it will be based on the browsing of the individual mobile user only.
By consenting, you confirm that you have permission from the telecom account holder to enable the Utiq technology on this internet connection.
You can withdraw this consent anytime via "Manage Utiq" at the bottom of this site or in Utiq's privacy portal ("consenthub"). For more, see Utiq's privacy statement.

Good evening @Derek Reese ,
please excuse the inconvenience, caused by this issue.
As far as I recognize, a user, @Mikko, reported your problem to the Teamies , working on this platform. They will contact you.
You did insert your profile data already. Would you please add a phone number, showing times you are available for the team to get in contact with you. Thank you,
Marlise

I have been unable to find any way to get in contact with service technicians that speak English.
There is normally not even a way to get in direct contact with a German speaking technician, unless sent by Telekom to your place.
Once sent by Telekom it is just a matter of luck whether the technicial will speak English - or not.
I recommend you to try to involve a friend/colleague/neighbour that might translate.
Or actually (assuming you have a smartphone with mobile internet access) - a translator app might be a solution, or even google translate. On my Android I have installed this Microsoft app, you can speak to it in English and the audible output is in German (or vice versa, also other languages available)

Hello @Derek Reese,
thank you for the pleasant call.
Our technician will be on site tomorrow between 11:00 am and 03:00 pm and sort out the issues with your internet connection.
I will be back on Monday and check in with you to see, whether or not further steps are required.
Kind Regards

Hello @Derek Reese,
just wanted to write you a quick message. I haven't forgoten about your case.
Unfortunately there hasn't been any update on the current status of our colleagues working on fixing the connection issue.
I will request another update from the corresponding department and keep you informed.

Hello @Derek Reese,
I have now gotten a concrete answer.
There are apparently multiple outages in your region affecting several customers. Due to this large number of issues, our technicians on site are pretty occupied with fixing them one after another. That unfortunately leads to delays in some cases. Sadly including yours.
The next possible appointment on the 22nd of February, that I already told you about, is indeed the planned date for our technicians to fix your connection.
Should you be interested in a temporary solution via the mobile phone network, please let me know. I will gladly book that for you, so you may have a back up in case the landline connection has a longer lasting outage.
Kind Regards
Jonas Bl.
