I've left Germany for good, and need to cancel my speedbox
2 years ago
Hello. I left Berlin three months ago and moved back to the United States. I just realized that I've forgotten to cancel my telekom Speedbox. My two year contract is not up, but we had to move back to the states quickly. I am now paying for the modem and have not used it since April. I saw that I need to deregister from Germany, but I've found that my building manager de registered us when they filled our apartment and they are not being very forthright with information, so I'm not able to get any paper work for deregistering . Is there anything else I can provide to close out this account? Thanks a lot in advance!

https://www.telekom.de/hilfe/auftrag-erste-schritte/umzug/umzug-ins-ausland
google translates that to
Do I have a special right of termination if I move abroad?
Yes. If you move abroad, you have a special right of termination according to § 60 TKG (Telecommunications Act). You are legally granted a period of one month. We need one of the following documents, e.g. B. as proof:
You are welcome to use the landline or mobile phone termination form and attach the proof as an attachment.

It is not clear to me whether your issue is about a mobile or about a fixed network contract, there are two specific links, each allowing to upload a required proof
fixed network https://www.telekom.de/kontakt/e-mail-kontakt/festnetz/umzug-ins-ausland
mobile https://www.telekom.de/kontakt/e-mail-kontakt/mobilfunk/kuendigung-umzug-ausland

Thank you for your message,@TeleBrock.
muc80337_2 has already given you the correct answer and the appropriate link. I see that you contacted us about this issue back in February.
Therefore, the topic should not be new or unknown to you.
Please use the linked form from muc80337_2 and add one of the three desired forms.
Have a nice start into the weekend.
Kind regards
