Leaving Germany - Can my friend take over the internet contract ?

Hello,
I am moving out of Germany end of December 2021. A friend will take over my flat. Is there a way for him to take over also my Festnetz Telekom contract instead of me terminating it ?
Since a win situation for everyone (Telekom for keeping the customer, my friend and I for not loosing time), there must be a way. How can I proceed?

Unnless your friend has also lived in that apartment for at least half a year, I'm afraid there is no way.
Don't ask why, I guess you already found out that we Germans love our rules and generally frown upon too much pragmatism...
At least you can get an early termination of the contract if you leave the country, just in case you didn't know that already.
