Looking for exact problem highlighted by technician

We had an appointment with the Telekom technician for installation on May 12, 2023. But because of my not so good German I just understood that there is a signal problem in the apartment and need to check with electrician if the cable send a signal from cellar to apartment or not. But as we do not have any written information, it is hard to convince the landlord to appoint an electrician. 

Our landlord is also trying to contact Telekom people but to him also no one is giving complete information on what is wrong and what need to be fixed.

Our current situation is, Telekom is saying it is a landlord responsibility and landlord is saying it is a Telekom responsibility.

If we get a clear information on what need to be done next and by whom then we can at least convince our landloard to make the changes.

      Plase tell us: do you have a contract with telekom directly, or some other provider, like Vodafone or O2 ?

      If telekom, please give us the exact and complete name of the contract, it should start with "MagentaZuhause......"

      Hi there @Rohit,

       

      as I've stated in our conversation over the phone, the landlord or housing agency is directly responsible for the last part of the telecommunications infrastructure also referred to as " Endleitung " in German. I will email you with a short explanation of the properties, ownership and service of said component. Should any further question arise on your behalf, please let us know.

      As for information according your landlords statement :

      the cable ( Endleitung ) hat two ends:

      - APL (cellar, where cables  for all x users start to their flats)

      - TAE (in your flat, to attach router)

       

      And yes: no one except telekom is allowd to open the APL or connect a new cable there.

      So one common way is:
      - electrician reinstalls cable up to APL , 20cm longer than needed, not(!)  attached to APL

      - telekom sends technician to open APL and connect cable and does documentation if necessary

      Hello @falk2010 ,

      My landlord has commissioned an electrician. The electrician will come to our apartment on Tuesday, May 23. Lets hope we will get it solved by them. Once it fixed we will setup an appointment with the Telekom Technician for the connection at APL and  router installation.
