Multiple DSL/PPoE connections
Hello 👋🏻
Apologies for using English, but my German is still a mess. I can understand though, so answers in German are also more than welcomed!
I currently have Speedport W 723V Typ A and Magenta Zuhause M. Recently I “discovered” that in my flat I have multiple DSL access points (pictures) and today I tested connection from my bedroom - it worked flawless. It got me thinking that maybe, instead of using Wi-Fi extenders, I could have a second modem in the bedroom?
There are some questions I have, though:
1. Can this dual modem/same credentials work at all?
2. Can I dial-in twice for the same credentials? Is there special offer I’d need for this to work? What about external IP? Would it be the same from both modems?
3. Could I maybe use some 3rd-party modem provider and attempt bridge mode? Would it work?
I feel like I’m missing something obvious...
Quick note - I don’t care at all about the phone features. All I need is Internet 😉
All the best!

Try to use LAN cable for your home network after the router wherever it is possible, if not stay with WLAN. Don't use DLAN/ PowerLAN over Powerline at all!

Hallo @hadret ,
I would like to add a comment regarding possible future upgrades: multiple TAEs (DSL access points) can potentially result in stability problems if you upgrade to more than Magenta Zuhause M.
So if you do upgrade in the future, please be aware that this could be problematic with your current setup.
Best wishes,
Coole Katze
