PPPoE Error E2 Speedport Glasfaser

vor 3 Stunden

Hello, apologies for English but my German is very poor. I have not had internet since yesterday. I have tried resetting both the router and modem, and after, the router gives me the PPPoE Error E2. After a while, the router then appears normal and says that I am connected to the internet. However, I have tried to connect with many devices and even LAN, but none work.

I also went to 192.168.2.1 and it says that I have an active connection. I tried to reset my IP address and now it says that my internet connection disconnected.

      Hi @theslabtour

I have a separate modem. The lamp is steady green. I went to 192.168.2.1 and it now says that I have an internet connection again, but I still cannot use the internet on any of my devices. I tried with a different LAN cable.

That's good. So the connection is established.

Another question, as in the logs I can see much "DSL": Is there still a cable connected to the DSL socket of the router? If so, please plug it off.

The cable between the modem and the router should be connected to the blue LINK socket.

      Best regards Inga Kristina

The modem and router are connected to the blue LINK socket. I had the DSL cable connected as well - but before the internet was working even with this connected

disconnecting the DSL cable fixed the issue! I just moved into my apartment and i guess the DSL cable was left over from before. I just thought i needed to plug it in
