Speed Home Wifi - Can't access the user interface (Benutzeroberfläche)

3 years ago

Anyone want to help can reply in German. Sorry I had to write it in English.

I installed my Speed Home Wifi mesh router via an ethernet cable but I can't reach the user interface of the Speed Home Wifi device to change the name of the WLAN signal.
I tried reaching through http://speedhomewifi and mac adress-speedhomewifi etc. It did't work.
In my router screen, I see that the IP adress of the router is not correctly assigned. It says 192.168.0.109 as IPv4 address in Mesh Devices screen.

Also our other devices have problems in getting a working IP adress too. I connected my PC via LAN cable and my pc couldn't get an ip adress, it was something like 192.168.0.xxx. So I had to set a static IP adress from network settings on my devices to be able to access the internet.
How can we fix it?

      Speedport Smart 4 can work  normally as Mesh-Base (Mesh-Master) of the Speedhome WiFi.  Then the Speedhome WiFi are only Mesh-Slaves.

      Have you tried to change the Wlan- Name ( SSID ) in the Wlan- Konfiguration of the Speedport Smart 4?

      I hope, you  didn't make the Wlan of the Speedport off(out), because it is the Mesh-Master. And if you only let the 2.4 GHz Wlan of the Speedport work: the Speedhome WiFi normally need the 5 GHz.

      Beispielsweise vergeben Smarthome Base Geräte oftmals selbst IP-ADRESSEN, wenn sie keinen Internet Zugang anderweitig haben, weil die meinen die wären nur mit einem PC verbunden und spielen sich dann als DHCP-Vergeber auf. Wobei ich nun nicht weiß, welches Gerät 0er Nummern als DHCP Vergeber normalerweise vergeben könnte.

      Dann muss der Screenshot aber auch aus dem anderen Speedport stammen. Der Screenshot zeigt, dass der betreffende Speedport die Mesh-Basis ist, von dem die Speed Home WiFi die IPv4 bezogen hat.

      If you have now assigned static IP addresses to your devices, check that these do not collide with the DHCP address range.

      Thank you, I have changed all devices from static IP to automatic IP and there is no problem now.

      @profiler1333

      you can change the Speedport Adress in the Speedport Menü to 192.168.0.1.
