speedsport smart 4 setup light blinking yellow
9 months ago
Hello Telekom help center,
I just got my SPEEDPORT SMART 4 PLUS for my home WI-FI. the internet has not been connected and a yellow blinking light appears in the center of the device. In addition, the display shows the 'Cable Error(e0)' message.
Could you please let me know how I can fix the error to use my Wi-fi.
i got all the new router and cables from telekom a week back itself.

Hallo @KUNAL SEERNANI
the yellow flashing LED indicates that the router cannot establish a connection to the Internet.
This could be due to faulty cabling between the router and the TAE socket.
Please try the following:
1. remove the DSL cable from the router and the TAE socket
2. disconnect the router from the power supply for approx. 10 minutes
3. plug the DSL cable back in on both sides
4. reconnect the router to the power supply
5. wait approx. 5 - 10 minutes and observe whether the error has been rectified.
If this is not the case, please report it here again so that I can inform the team.

Hi @Sven Ö. how are you, hope ure good.
So I again went to the telekom shop today, and explained them my situation. They were very helpful and helped me in conversation with customer care in german. They asked me that they can arrange an appointment for tomorrow but that would cost me 50 euros. I had no choice but to accept it because my situation was very urgent and critical.
I told them that ive already spent 100 euros on my prepaid recharges because of lack of wifi at home , and now you guys are asking me to pay 50 euros because the appointment wasnt successful today due to some technical issue that wasnt at my end.
Please help me in this case and get my compensation for the rent of the products that have been billed to me even though my deployment hasnt started and for the 50 euros that ill have to pay for the appointment tomorrow.
Will wait for your call.
Thank you.
Kunal.

Good evening @kunalseernanni and thank you for the call. As discussed, I have no clue, why the 50 Euro should be charged. If this happens, I'll do a refund. I'll call you tomorrow again, to see, if the activation worked.
Kind regards Sven
