when will i get internet

Dear Telekom,


I have applied for DSL Connection for more than a month now, I was supposed to get internet a week ago, still there is no conformation from your end. When I talk to customer support, they say we will process it as soon as possible. I had applied for DSL connection with friends and family benefit as one of my friend works in Telekom. Now, even he is frustrated with this bureaucracy. 


You guys boast that you are the biggest internet provider in Germany and if this is what we get for signing up for your contract with you guys, then we have a bigger problem. 


I should have just signed up with one of your competitor, I believe I would have got internet connection by now. 


Kindly have competent people to resolve issues.

      Hi @Raghav ,

      maybe it is not yet too late to cancel your request for connection and go with a competitor. Sometimes it helps to change things after a bad start.

       

      If you do not want to go this way, your friend should have possibilities to support.

      Ya, I think I should just do that. pretty annoyed and frustrated with how Telekom operates.

      If this is about a DSL competitor then I guess that you woul be in the very same situation.

      Hello @Raghav,

       

      the provider which has the DSL infrastructure is DT Net. Not everyone can see this, you need access to a special program to look at the infrastructure and I guess that most of my colleagues in the hotline and in the Telekom Shops don't have this access. So they can only tell you what they see. That's why you get different answers. 

       

      Yes, we're building a glass fiber connection and you can order a tariff just now. But I don't want to lie to you, it will take some months to get it done. By now there is no glass fiber cable in the house, this has to be built first.

      I’m not sure, from the website of DTnetservice.de, I just checked and it’s not available in my area (please find the screenshot attached) or am I looking in a wrong website? 

      maybe you have more access than an regular  user. just want to be sure, if they can provide internet or not.

      Hi @Raghav,

       

      well, that's the provider that actually blocks the DSL port. I don't have more information. 

       

      Maybe it would be best if you call them or write to them and ask about the status.

      Hello @Raghav,

       

      thank you for the friendly phone call. 

       

      I'm really sorry that we cannot provide an internet connection at your address. We don't have the technical infrastructure for a DSL connection at your house. It's owned by another provider. 

       

      We're building a glass fiber connection there, but it will take some months to get it done. So at this moment this is not an option. 

       

      I hope you'll get a connection from the other provider soon. 

       

      @ak123: This is not true anymore. There are other providers that have their own DSL infrastructure.
