Abbuchung U-Project 20€

      https://telekomhilft.telekom.de/t5/Mobilfunk/u-project-Firm-sl/m-p/7043052#M732010

Rechnung widersprechen? Nur den unstrittigen Rechnungsbetrag überweisen usw. ?

My sentiments exactly. Between my first and second visit to Germany, I've been a Telekom customer for about a decade... and in this instance they'd prefer to sit back and have me sort everything out. It's really insane to me. In America, if some company placed a dubious charge on my bill, I can call my service provider and they will remove the charge immediately, then take the issue up with the company that charged me.

Many will say "you're now in Germany" and I get it- I'm not making an overarching comparison between the two countries. However, I'm afraid to say that in this case, the process is completely backwards.

I am cancelling all Telekom contracts at the earliest chance possible because of this and switching back to Vodafone or O2. That's about 360€ a month because Telekom can't figure out how to stop a third party from stealing 20€ from me (or other customers).

      @gs21386 ,

The process isn't exactly our doing, to be honest. Companies like Google/Apple want customers to reach out to them in cases like this. It's sad to read, that this results in you cancelling all of your contracts.

In Germany, we have specific legal frameworks and processes that regulate the handling of third-party charges. These are based on the Telecommunications Act (Telekommunikationsgesetz, TKG ), which aims to protect consumers and sets clear rules for the billing of third-party services. It is important to note, that this is a pretty significant point and difference.

A key aspect of this law is that telecommunications providers, such as Telekom, are required to assist customers with the billing of third-party services but are not allowed to take direct responsibility for the provision or refund of these services. The underlying principle is that the third-party providers are the actual contracting parties for the services rendered and, therefore, must also be the direct points of contact for any inquiries or complaints.

Telekom takes over the charges for purchased services and then bills you accordingly. This has the advantage for you that all costs related to your mobile connection are billed by us. If you have any questions regarding this part of your mobile bill, you have the option to contact the service provider directly to get more information about the charges. The contact details of the provider are listed on your mobile bill. The provider will need your phone number for identification purposes.

      Kind regards

Gleiches Problem haben wir auch...Teens Zusatzkarte.

Kein link wurde angeklickt, kein fremder Anfuf entgegengenommen. Sehr eigenartig.

Does anyone have an update here? There are so many forums with this topic, it's insane to me that Telekom throws their hands up and tells their customers to fix the issue.

This company is stealing money from people and we're supposed to just accept it? I'm sorry, but no. I've paid my bill this month minus the 20€ this company is trying to steal from me. Now, Telekom is threatening to disconnect my service if I do not pay the remaining 20€. Customer service says it's my problem... absolutely maddening.

I contacted this fraudulent company anyway, and they sent me a link insisting someone followed it and clearly agreed to the charge... when I followed the link, it prompts you to enter your phone number. My 9 year old son doesn't know his phone number. He is also adamant he's never signed up for or agreed to anything.

What is my recourse? "It's only 20€"- I'm sorry, but no. It's principle. I refuse to pay it. Then what? My service gets disconnected? Then I refuse to pay more money to Telekom for my devices or the remainder of the contract and my bank gets blocked? Over 20€? Will a lawyer even consider taking it... over 20€?

I've been a Telekom customer for over a decade and am sure I've paid tens of thousands of euros at this point... this company is denying me as of now and I'd really appreciate it if Telekom would do the right thing.

Good morning and welcome to the community, @gs21386

Thank you for your detailed message. However, in this case, we are actually not the right contact.

We don't want the money from you, but the third party does.

We are just the billing partner. When a claim is made through third parties, we only forward it—similar to Klarna or PayPal.

Therefore, we can't simply waive the 20 euros.

However, I can give you a tip: On our billing statement, you can find the service through which the third party was booked.

Please reach out to them and mention that your child is a minor.

In such cases, companies like Google are usually quite understanding! :-)

      Kind regards

      Caro
