Porting number from Vodafone contract to Telekom Prepaid failed

Hello, 

I had a Vodafone postpaid contract number from my company which I wanted to move to Telekom Prepaid. 

I went to Telekom shop and gave all details and bought a prepaid sim card also to move the number. 

But the very next day I received this message:

Aktuell können wir Ihre Rufnummer xxxcxxxxxx nicht importieren. 

It seems the person at the Telekom shop missed some detail as my colleague had the exact same issue as well from the same Telekom shop. 

While my colleague could go and get it corrected at the same Telekom shop unfortunately I cannot go as I am abroad.. 

 

In this case is it possible to resolve the issue online as by the time I come back the deadline for porting the number will expire. 

 

Any help will be much appreciated.

      As far as I know you need to go back to the shop and they need to intiate the transfer again, same as your colleague did. Maybe they can help you over phone but you need to deal with the shop itself.

       

      Another option would be buying (and paying) online again and do the transfer of the number online. While ID verification can be done you need a shipping address of yours within Germany as well.

       

      Last but not least you can ask someone in Germany to take over the number for you and once you're back you transfer the mobile connection to you.

      I can check the order and initiate a new porting. However, it may all depend on the country that you are in.

       

      We can try to get the order through, but I sadly can't guarantee it.

      Thank you for your help so far. 

      I received confirmation that porting is successful and activation will happen on 19.01.

       

      I hope I receive the eSIM profile before that date.

      As promised, I log into my system very early on January 19th and swap the physical SIM for the eSIM. That's why you gave me the eID. There is no other option since you are currently not at home.

      But I will take care on it - On that day, you are also my only customer, as I am actually off. So, I will not forget about you. Zwinkernd

      Hi Carolin, just to update it seems the number has been ported as my number stopped working. 

      Will be looking forward to receiving the eSIM and instructions on activation.
